4 Northern Ireland Farm Quality Assured steaks (rump, sirloin)

1 red onion

2 beef tomatoes

1 x 5ml (1tsp) oil

25g wild rocket

125ml reduced fat French dressing

To Serve

Mashed potato



Chopping board, knife, measuring spoons, frying pan, tongs, tin foil.


  1.      Peel, remove the top and bottom of the onion and slice thickly.
  2.      Thickly slice the tomatoes.
  3.      Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the tomato slices and red onion for 1 minute on each side.
  4.      Remove the tomato and onion and wrap in tin foil to keep warm.
  5.      In the same pan, fry the steaks for 4 minutes on each side.  Remove from the pan and wrap in tin foil to rest.
  6.      Remove the tomatoes, onion and steaks from the foil and arrange on plates. Add the rocket.
  7.      Drizzle over the dressing.
  8.      Serve with mashed potato and salad.
